Hotel Tourst Tax Hotels within certain areas of Mexico will now charge a Tourist tax to passengers on arrival at the hotels. The mandatory government tax, 20 MEX Pesos (approximately $1.12 US subject to exchange rate variations), per room, per night, that will be collected from all guests staying in Riviera Maya's Municipio de Solidaridad. Guest staying at hotels may elect to pay the local tax in US Dollars or Mexican Pesos, by cash or credit card, upon check-in.
